MacKenzie Umbarger

Mackenzie began working with people with disabilities in 2000 as a Direct Support Professional in residential and vocational settings, and later as a Direct Support Supervisor of various residential settings. MacKenzie studied History and American Indian Studies at BHSU. She attended the 2009 DSP Gathering in Washington D.C. as part of the South Dakota delegation and met with state representatives to educate them on disability and funding awareness. MacKenzie currently sits on the Spearfish Nutrition Site and Meals-on-Wheels Program Advisory Board, a program with beneficial value for the local elderly and disabled populations.
