Services

Lower Merion Counseling & Mobile Services provides a broad range of mental health and substance abuse services in a responsive and respectful manner with sensitivity to issues of gender, ethnicity, culture and sexual identity. LMCMS strives to educate ourselves, people who participate in our services and our community about mental illness and substance abuse, and the hopeful possibilities of treatment and recovery. We support people to maximize independent living and improve the quality of their life through community-based treatment. Our staff includes psychiatrists, clinical social workers, psychologists, family therapists, and other mental health professionals.

We accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare, Bravo, AARP, Medicaid plans, and several other insurance plans.  We also accept self-pay.  Montgomery County residents may qualify for financial assistance.

  • Expressive Arts Program, Art therapy and Music therapy
  • Leadership and confidence group workshops, which provide skills for accurate thinking and a positive mental attitude
  • Health and Wellness group, Yoga, Meditation, progressive relaxation
  • Recovery support meetings, DUI group

Recovery Coaching: Recovery coaches support people in making positive changes in many ways.  Recovery coaches help people coming home from treatment to avoid relapse, build community support for mental health and substance abuse recovery, or work on life goals not related to addiction such as relationships, work, education etc. Recovery coaching is action oriented with an emphasis on improving present life and reaching goals for the future.

Certified Peer Specialists: Peer specialists are people in recovery who with individuals to help develop and implement a personal recovery plan to recover from the symptoms of mental illness and/or substance abuse

Administrative Case Management: Our case manager works to help residents of Montgomery County link to services with community agencies, hospitals and government services.

Student Assistance Program: We provide private consultation with staff and students in the Lower Merion School District in agreement with their Student Assistance Program.
