Main Line Wine Gala 2021

RHD hosted the 8th Annual Main Line Wine Gala on Thursday, September 30th at the beautiful Appleford Estate in Villanova, PA. Hosted by Fox29’s popular news personality, Jennaphr Frederick, the event went al fresco this year and showcased the world’s most exclusive winemakers with proceeds supporting RHD’s innovations in human services.
Groth Vineyards & Winery was the featured winery for the evening. Rooted in Oakville in the Napa Valley, the winery produces critically acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay, along with an estate-grown white blend and a proprietary red. RHD was pleased to welcome Mark Nelson as Honorary Chair of the event. After joining Groth Vineyards & Winery in 2015 as the winery’s Eastern Regional Sales Manager, Nelson was promoted to his current role as National Sales Manager in 2020.
This year’s Main Line Wine Gala was truly an unforgettable evening surrounded by great wine, food, and generous supporters!
As an organization, we continue to celebrate 50 years of delivering the highest quality services to people of all abilities, in a values-driven environment built around respect for the dignity and worth of the individuals we serve.
Each year, RHD supports tens of thousands of adults, children, and families in need. The people we serve rely on the generosity of supporters who believe that every person should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Their support assisted us in raising over $110,000 at this year’s event!
The money raised from Main Line Wine Gala will benefit several RHD programs, including:
La Casa – Philadelphia’s only youth safe haven that provides secure, transitional housing for emerging young adults who are experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges.
Center for Creative Works – A unique, creative art studio for people with intellectual disabilities, with a focus on arts and arts-based skill-building, education, in-house generated vocational opportunities and community involvement.
Integrative Solutions (unrestricted) – Donations received within this area will allow RHD to continue developing innovative and cutting-edge solutions within its programs to help people in need build more independent and productive lives.
