RHD Allegheny Mobile Psychiatric Services (RAMS)

The RHD Allegheny Mobile Psychiatric Services (RAMS) Program provides mobile psychiatric rehabilitation services for individuals with mental health challenges who may need more support than traditional office-based services can provide. Mobile psychiatric rehabilitation helps people build the practical, emotional, and social skills needed to live successfully and independently in the community. Services are provided where participants are most comfortable — including in their homes or other community settings — and focus on helping individuals manage mental health symptoms, strengthen daily living skills, maintain stability, and work toward personal goals.

RAMS uses a person-centered approach based on the Boston University Choose-Get-Keep model and incorporates motivational interviewing techniques to help participants stay engaged in services and focused on their goals. Staff also coordinate with mental health providers, healthcare professionals, housing programs, and other community supports to promote consistent care and long-term success.
