Kailo Haven

Kailo Haven, located in North Philadelphia at 2107 W. Tioga St., is a Safe Haven homeless shelter for up to 40 men experiencing chronic homelessness and identified as suffering from some form of co-occurring disorders, including mental health and addictions challenges. A Safe Haven is a form of supportive housing that serves hard to reach persons experiencing homelessness with severe mental illness and other debilitating behavioral health conditions who are on the street and have been unable or unwilling to participate in housing or supportive services. It is expected that clients will be reengaged with treatment services as they become stabilized and learn to trust service providers. The Kailo Haven philosophy is to provide a safe environment that promotes healing and validates the individual worth of all community members. Kailo Haven engages individuals where they are to build self-esteem through community involvement.
