RHD is honored to welcome Jean-Charles Boisset of Boisset Collection as honorary chair for the 2019 Main Line Wine Gala at the Philadelphia Country Club Sept. 26. This is the sixth annual Main Line Wine Gala, which celebrates the world’s most innovative winemakers in an event that benefits RHD’s innovative human services.
Natasha Brown, co-anchor of CBS 3’s Eyewitness News at 4 p.m. will be MC for the 2019 Main Line Wine Gala.
Jean-Charles Boisset was born into the world of wine in the village of Vougeot, Burgundy, France. His lifelong passion for wine began as a child, as he grew up above the cellars and within view of the centuries-old vineyards of Château du Clos de Vougeot, the epicenter and birthplace of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Today, the family collection includes wineries that share more than 20 centuries of combined winemaking heritage and tradition in some of the world’s most prestigious terroirs, from Burgundy to the South of France, to California’s Napa Valley and Russian River Valley.
The Philadelphia Country Club is home to a tradition that began in 1890 when a group of prominent Philadelphians, led by John C. Bullitt, came together to create what would become the finest Country Club in the Tri-state area. Philadelphia Country Club is highly regarded throughout the area, and in the Country Club community, as a premier club.
Past Honorary Chairs include Alessia Antinori from Italy, Marcus Notaro from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Laurent Drouhin from France and Elizabeth Neuman from Joseph Phelps.
