We are seeking caring and nurturing individuals to provide quality care through the supervision and support of participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in community-based residential, day, and employment programs in the state of Pennsylvania.

Being a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is an enriching career that allows you to positively impact those we serve. DSPs play an important role in keeping our individuals healthy and safe while helping them to achieve their goals and work toward greater independence wherever possible. RHD provides orientation training for all new DSPs before working directly with the individuals served.

Interested candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Be caring, nurturing, and want to help others!


The current sign-on bonus is being offered to employees hired into one of the identified program’s qualifying positions by 6/30/23. If an offer of employment is not received by 6/30/23, you may not qualify for the advertised sign-on bonus. PA IDD of RHD will provide a hiring bonus of $500 for full-time DSPs and $250 for part-time and on-call (PRN) DSPs to be distributed in two parts. The first part of the hiring bonus will be processed by the Program’s Director following the employee’s successful completion of New Hire Orientation. Full-time DSPs will receive $250 gross and Part-time DSPs will receive $125 gross. Following the initial 90 days of successful and continuous employment as a PA IDD DSP, a second hiring bonus will be processed for the employee by the Program’s Director. Full-time DSPs will receive $250 gross, and Part-time DSPs will receive $125 gross.
