In America today, incarceration often interacts with a host of social conditions to create a population that many feel is beyond rehabilitation.
Often substance abuse, low self-esteem, and mental illness are at the core of a set of problems that stymie traditional rehabilitation efforts. At RHD, we believe that however difficult the task, however complicated the problems, however alienated the individual, rehabilitation is always possible. Sooner or later, people respond to being treated with dignity and respect.
RHD runs a wide variety of residential and outpatient programs that focus on sorting out and overcoming the barriers to social re-integration.
