RHD wins Philadelphia Foundation Fund for Children grant

Resources for Human Development is the recipient of a Males of Color Initiative grant from the Philadelphia Foundation, R. Andrew Swinney, president of the Philadelphia Foundation, announced today.
RHD will receive a $5,000 grant from the Philadelphia Foundations’ Fiund for Children to support its partner, Frontline Solutions, in its Males of Color Initiative. The unds will be used for research and policy analysis and other general program support.
“Improving the life outcomes for men of color is essential to the success of the city and, in fact, the country,” RHD CEO Bob Fishman said. “RHD is honored to be a recipient of this initiative from the Philadelphia Foundation, the Foundation’s Fund for Children, and Frontline Solutions.”
Resources for Human Development is a comprehensive human services organization based in Philadelphia, Pa. Its mission is to empower the most vulnerable and marginalized members of society as they build the highest level of independence possible. RHD oversees and supports more than 160 locally managed programs in 14 states. These innovative and effective programs specialize in helping people who have mental illnesses or developmental disabilities, homeless individuals and families, people rejoining society after incarceration, and people with histories of substance abuse so that they may all build better lives for themselves, their families and their communities.
