Resources for Human Development will expand into its 14th state with the opening of a new program in Nebraska.
“We’re very excited for the opportunity to bring RHD’s caring, effective and innovative approach to human services to the great state of Nebraska,’’ RHD CEO Bob Fishman said. “We’re proud that our long history of individualized, quality service in caring for people continues to result in growth and expansion for RHD that enables us to serve more people.”
Resources for Human Development serves tens of thousands of people of all abilities every year with caring, effective and innovative programs addressing intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, homelessness, addiction recovery and more. Founded in Philadelphia in 1970, RHD has grown from one program and $50,000 in revenue to more than 170 programs in 14 states, with operating revenues of more than $190 million.
The Nebraska program will feature residential and day services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“RHD is committed to the fundamental value of dignity and respect for all human beings and to the empowerment of those we serve,’’ Fishman said. “We're honored to have this chance to serve people in Nebraska. We consider it our mission to empower our clients as they build the highest level of independence possible.”
