Oasis, RHD's award-winning arts program, debuts latest exhibition in Philadelphia's Magic Gardens Gallery

Oasis, Resources for Human Development's award-winning and publicly recognized arts and education program in Philadelphia, will debut its latest art exhibition April 23 at the Magic Gardens Gallery.
The show, titled "Creative Correspondence," will run through May 30. The
Magic Gardens Gallery is located at 1010 South Street.
"Creative Correspondence" is an exhibition of equal exchange collaborative works by adults with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness and a diverse group of Philadelphia-based artists.
Oasis offers unique, creativity-based healing and learning opportunities to individuals within the mental health and mental retardation communities. Classes and workshops include visual arts as well as reading and other life skills. Students are empowered to realize their creative potential, find means of personal expression, improve their quality of life and gain life skills through creative, recovery-based classes and interaction. Oasis raises awareness about people who live with disabilities and educates an integrated community through the professional presentation of student artwork in exhibitions at the Oasis gallery as well as other venues. Oasis offers both in-house services at its studio, as well as outreach within the community.
